Our Story
It Started with a Problem Nobody Was Solving
In 2009, our founder Kareem Al Hosany noticed a pattern that kept repeating across Dubai’s fast-growing economy.
Businesses were extending credit on cheques that bounced. Landlords and tenants found themselves in costly standoffs with no clear path forward. Expats were trying to make sense of a legal system they didn’t fully understand, often in a language they didn’t speak. And banks, who were frequently part of the problem, held all the power.
The professional help available at the time was either too expensive, too slow, or too disconnected from how things actually work on the ground in the UAE. Lawyers who knew courtrooms but didn’t know banks. Financial consultants who could talk about debt but couldn’t help when a case crossed into criminal territory.
Kareem’s background was different. Trained in both commercial law and finance, he’d worked directly with UAE financial institutions and built relationships across government bodies, courts, and regulators. He understood the full picture, not just one slice of it.
So he opened Logic Way. A firm that could sit at the intersection of financial consulting and legal representation, and actually get things moving.
Fifteen years later, that’s still what we do. The client list is longer now. The track record is deeper. But the approach hasn’t changed.

A bounced cheque in the UAE isn’t just a financial headache. It can lead to criminal charges, travel bans, and arrest. Even under Federal Decree-Law No. 14 of 2020, which partially decriminalised cheque cases, the consequences still require careful handling to avoid serious fallout.
We’ve resolved over 300 bounced cheque cases. Our process combines criminal defence representation, direct negotiation with the cheque issuer, settlement agreement drafting, and travel ban removal. Most cases wrap up in two to four weeks.
